Our approach

We see people as having deep, interwoven parts that need to be seen and understood at a soul level, not just on a mental health level.

Therefore, we take a philosophical approach to counselling as well as an evidence-based one.

We do not believe you are broken, nor do you need fixing. You are simply human, experiencing common yet painful or challenging aspects of existence. These aspects need time and space to be explored, heard and understood so they can be integrated into your life, allowing you to move forward.

Our why

We know what it’s like to feel stuck, frustrated, burnt-out, depressed, lost, overwhelmed, incapable and many more aspects of the human experience.

But we have also found our voice, agency, peace and the capacity to lead our own lives well.

Life doesn’t come with a manual. Instead it is an ongoing process of discovery of who we are and what we want in the midst of adversity.

At Aletheia House, we journey with you to help you find and listen to your voice amongst the many that shape who you are, to find clarity, hope, peace, and joy.

Our Services

Counselling is a process of discovery where you can gain insight and understanding into how you came to be where you are, the experiences that have shaped you and how you want to show up in your life moving forward.

Our Founder

Rebekah started Aletheia House as a way to pursue both her love of counselling with her love for her family life. After completing her Masters of Counselling in 2017, Rebekah worked in public and private cancer wards offering a listening ear and a calm presence to patients facing cancer diagnoses and their journey through treatment and palliative care. In this space, Rebekah witnessed the many facets of emotions that people experience when facing grief, loss, death and the unknown which solidified her existentially-focused approach to therapy.

Rebekah’s heart is to see people courageously explore who they are so they can make informed and empowered decisions about what they want for their lives.
